SOPA's future events: Windshiel Farm Open Day12 August at 1.30pm at Windshield Farm, near Duns, Berwickshire by courtesy of Ted and Sharon Baker. Windshiel is the Scottish trial site in P-Link phosphorus supply in organic systems and you will be able to see the trials in action. The Bakers also have organic hens - layers and have recently invested in an on-farm processing unit for red meat and pork butchery which is nearly up and running. Certification issues, the practical issues in setting up the unit and marketing options for this type of enterprise will all be looked at. Ted and Sharon have also kindly offered their hospitality immediately after the farm walk for an organic BBQ which will take place at 5pm. Therefore bookings are essential.
