GM courgettes planted in Germany Print E-mail
Seminis, a vegetable seed company owned by Monsanto, has admitted that GMO zucchini (courgettes) have been accidently planted in Germany. Apparently the company has destroyed the crop. 90 grams of seeds were imported from the US via Holland. One region of Germany claims that 100 seeds were planted in greenhouses. According to Seminis they are the largest developer, grower and marketer of fruit and vegetable seeds in the world. They operate in 150 countries and territories. Earlier this year they were bought by Monsanto
